Precious Metals
9 carat gold (hallmark375)
We have chosen to present House of Sophia Schroeder Collection in 9carat gold, because 9ct gold has a cool blonde nuance, which is not only pretty but also durable.
9ct gold matches all skin tones and is a perfect match for all wardrobe colors.
9ct also mixes well with other metal types, due to the more neutral gold color.
9 carat gold carries the Hallmark 375 , which signifies that the item is 37,5% pure gold.
Common to all precious metals is that they are gracefully worn and shaped by the wearer.
Be gentle when cleaning your genuine jewelry, store in airtight bags. Your local jeweler has suitable cleaning agents that will make your jewelry shine like new in seconds.
Avoid to spray lotion, perfume, hairspray etc. directly on your Jewelry, also avoid showering or swimming both in chlorine and saltwater.
We strongly advise you to let your local Goldsmith do any size fitting for you, in order to keep the Precious Stones safe. Also in order to avoid that metal fatigue occurs, caused by repetitive movements.
You are welcome to let us know your ring size when you order, and we will adjust the ring for you. You may send an email with any questions or special requests to info@houseofsophiaschroeder.com

925 Sterling gold-plated
only on request info@houseofsophiaschroeder.com
925s sterling silver gold-plated. All gold-plated jewelry will change color over time depending on wear and use. First, the silver will oxidize through the gold-plating - this gives a beautiful 3-dimensional vintage look that you don't get in pure gold, and secondly, wear surfaces will become silver-colored over time.
There are no guarantees for the timeline of the gold plating - it all depends on you.
We always recommend to store your jewelry in closed bags, and of course you can re-gold at your local goldsmith as you wish. You should never polish your gold-plated jewelry and avoid getting cosmetics, including creams, shampoo, hairspray on your fine jewelry. Avoid both perfume, chlorine and salt water.

14ct gold is a beautiful yellow gold, often preferred in Europe and not at least in Scandinavia. 14ct gold is very strong, (more durable than 18ct) made of 58,5 % pure gold (hence the hallmark 585) mixed with other metals.
18ct Gold, hallmarked 750

18ct is just slightly more reddish gold if you compare it to 14ct and it slightly softer than 14ct, but still a durable metal. 18ct gold consists of 75% pure gold mixed with other metals. It has a beautiful depth in color, and a higher metal value than 14ct gold.
